Campus Recreation

Students have various opportunities to stay fit, have fun, and meet new people through intramural sports.

Jones Complex

The Jones Complex houses basketball courts, racquetball courts, volleyball courts, aerobic fitness, and a functional training room. The complex is open for student use during the evening when not reserved for collegiate sports. Tennis courts, a 1 KM walking/jogging track and lighted sand volleyball courts are also available.

Jones Complex/Bulldog Gym Spring Hours: Sunday - Thursday: 7 - 10 p.m.

Fitness Center

A 13,000-square-foot fitness center with treadmills, bikes, and elliptical machines, as well as Life Fitness weight machines and a large free weight area is available from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. most days of the week. Zumba, Tabata, Yoga and other fitness classes are offered throughout the week. Campus recreation often hosts fitness challenges throughout the year to help students, faculty and staff kickstart their New Year's resolutions or get into a healthy routine.

Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 2 - 5 p.m.

Mabee Pool

The Mabee Aquatic Center is heated and is open from March to October for lap swimming, water basketball, water aerobics and recreational swimming. During the summer, group and private swimming lessons are offered to the community. The pool is available for private party rental May through August and by special request in the spring and fall. Pool membership is open to the community from March to October.

Polar Bulldog Swim

Each December, students gather at Mabee Pool on 鈥淩eading Day,鈥 the day before final exams begin, to re-energize by swimming across the frigid pool. The pool is closed from late October until after Spring Break and is not heated, so very little activity and open air significantly cools the water from its usual comfortable temperature. The annual event, which began in 2003, is meant to bring students back together for one more community event before the end of the semester. Students who participate must swim the length of the pool in order to receive their T-shirt for braving the waters. Those wishing to stay dry, and warm, can cheer swimmers on from the gate and enjoy congratulatory hot cocoa and treats with their fellow Bulldogs after the swim.

Summer Swimming Lessons

极速六合彩历史开奖记录 offers summer swimming lessons, privately or in a group, for 9-month-olds through adults. Private lessons take place May through August and group lessons are held in the mornings and evenings in June and July. Mabee Pool offers memberships to the community and is available for party rental.
