Campus Updates Regarding COVID-19
With the recent end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency on May 11, ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ is also making some changes to our COVID-19 protocols. In addition to the current , here are the latest updates for ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼:
- The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ COVID-19 leadership team is officially rolled backup into the Safety and Emergency Management Committee
- Health & Wellness will treat students with COVID-19 going forward like any other illness (flu, strep-throat etc)
- Students, faculty, and staff will no longer need to report positive COVID-19 cases to the Student Health and Wellness Center as they will not be tracking them anymore.
- Students WILL however still need to report to their respective faculty if they will be out of class because of a positive COVID-19 case. Faculty may require a doctor’s note which can be requested through ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Care or a physician.
- Students with symptoms can still get tested at the Health and Wellness clinic but additional take-home COVID-19 antigen tests will no longer be provided for free once current supplies run out.
If you have a health related COVID-19 question, please direct them to Health & Wellness (healthservices@tlu.edu). All other questions may be emailed to the Safety & Emergency Management Committee (semc@tlu.edu).
Additional Information:
- Masks are not required in all indoor or outdoor spaces.
- Vaccination and Exemption Reporting is not required for new students, faculty, or staff members. For current students, faculty, and staff who previously submitted a vaccine record or exemption form, those documents will remain on file with ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Student Health Services and Human Resources.
- There are no event capacity limits so all venues can be occupied at 100% capacity.
- COVID-19 testing is no longer required. Students who want a COVID test should contact the ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Student Health Services in the Hahn Annex (formerly the CSL) at healthservices@tlu.edu.
- Isolation and quarantine procedures remain the same and align with CDC guidelines.

Feeling ill? Here's what you can do
If you are a student, you can visit The Student Health & Wellness Center or access for a tele-health evaluation of your symptoms. ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Care is available 24/7 and in all 50 states. You can also visit the Student Health and Wellness Center Monday-Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.
If you are faculty or staff, you can visit with your primary care physician or if you have our employer provided health insurance, you have access to . This tele-health service is offered 24/7 through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Where is Student Health Services located?
The ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Student Health Services Center is located in the Hahn Annex (formerly the Center for Servant Leadership building). The Student Health Services Staff includes:

Hours are: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Lunch is from 12-1 p.m.

Where can I get a COVID test?
If you are a student, you can get an at-home Covid-19 test at the Student Health and Wellness Center. Please visit ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Care for an evaluation of your symptoms to help determine if you need to be tested.
Or, antigen tests are available at the following locations:

Who contacts faculty members if a student is in quarantine or isolation?
Students who need to be in quarantine or isolation are responsible for contacting their professors directly about any absences.

Faculty members should contact ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Student Health Services for questions regarding a student and their quarantine or isolation status.
