Once again, students in �������ϲ���ʷ������¼’s nursing programs have turned in stellar results on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

NCLEX is an exam used to determine whether recently graduated nursing students are safe to practice, and over 96 percent of nursing students at �������ϲ���ʷ������¼ have passed the exam on their first try thus far this year—above the national average.

What’s the secret of success? “�������ϲ���ʷ������¼ faculty work with students to ensure they learn what they need to know, but take the extra step to help students apply the concepts they are learning,” says �������ϲ���ʷ������¼ Director of Nursing Ruth Eby. “It is about the classroom and quality experiences in the lab, simulation, and clinical settings.”

This month, two summer cohorts totaling over 60 nurses received their pins as they completed the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) and Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) programs. The vast majority of �������ϲ���ʷ������¼ nursing students have already secured jobs upon graduation.

“�������ϲ���ʷ������¼ graduates are sought after because of their knowledge, skills, and can-do attitude,” says Eby. “�������ϲ���ʷ������¼ educates entry-level RNs at both the BSN and MSN levels. All graduates are prepared to be practice-ready when they complete the program. The MSN graduates receive an extra level of education that prepares them to advance in the profession ahead of their peers.”
